Differences between Vector and Pixel Graphics

Photographs are made of pixels. Images edited in Photoshop are in pixels. Pixel based graphics are made up from lots of tiny physical squares (or ‘pixels’) where as vector graphics are mapped out using mathematical equations which calculate where the edges of the shapes sit in relation to one another. Vector graphics are usually done in Illustrator where the images look clearer no matter how much you zoom.
