Tarot Card

Definition

-There are many types of tarot decks. Decks are based on various themes such as :-
  • Nature
  • Animals
  • Fantasy
  • Dragons

-The most common deck in the United States is the Rider-Waite deck, which was created in 1909 by A.E.
-Waite, a prominent member of the occult group the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, and published by Rider & Company.  

-The artist was Pamela Colman Smith.
-Tarot cards has 78 cards consisting of 22 the Major Arcana Card and 56 Minor Arcana Card.
-Tarot cards used for fortune telling in the media meditation or contemplation.
-Like regular playing cards, the Minor Arcana of the Tarot deck includes four suits :-
  • Wands
  • Swords
  • Cups
  • Circles of pentacles

-Each suit has meaning regarding a specific approach to life and the cards within these suits are numbered one through 10 and also include the court cards :-
  • the king
  • queen
  • knight
  • page
-The Minor Arcana cards represent the more minor, practical daily ups and downs in life.
-The Major Arcana is not associated with the suits and they include the picture cards that represent principles, concepts and ideals.
-They are numbered one through 21, with the 22nd card (the "Fool") marked as zero.
-The Major Arcana cards represent strong, long-term energy or big events in some area of life.

The Minor Arcana

The Wands are also known as rods or staves.They correspond to clubs in playing card deck and are associated with the Fire element and the color yellow. The suit is associated with Aries, Leo, Sagittarius. The cards are symbolic of passion, desires, creativity, energy, career and ideas.

The Suit Of Cups

The cups are also known as chalices or goblets.  They correspond to hearts in a playing card deck and are associated with the Water element and the color red. The suit is associated with Cancer,Scorpio, and Pisces. The cards are symbolic of emotions (positive and negative), love, relationships, romance, happiness, intuition, psychic abilities and spiritual connections.

The swords are known as blades, knives or athames. They correspond to spades in a playing card deck and are associated with the Air element and the color indigo. The suit is associated with Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. The cards are symbolic of battles within you,
challenge, struggle, physical and moral conflict, action and change. 

The Suit Of Conis

The Pentacles are known as coins or discs. They correspond to diamonds in a playing card deck and are associated with the Earth element and the color green. The suit is associated with Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn. The cards are symbolic of health, wealth, material possessions and the physical world. They also symbolize the realization of ideas and material gain.

Astrology and the Tarot card

-Tarot is the king of all wisdom-seeking systems because of its diversity.
-This is largely due because the Tarot incorporates so many other forms of symbolism and esoteric reading systems.
- Each of the major Arcana cards corresponds with the stars,moons and planets within the zodiac
-It is unknown who originally combined Tarot and astrology,but Tarot scholars have been making these correlations for centuries.

The reason why tarot card stacked operate with varying amounts because the number and formation of the tarot cards are define by a person characteristic and luck.
