PROPOSAL FOR FOOD PACKAGING DESIGN WITH BATIK THEME

Research Topic :
Promoting Malaysia specifically the state of Terengganu through food packaging design with batik theme.

Background research:
To introduce the product about the state of Rajasthan through food packaging design with batik theme to introduce to tourists traveling to Malaysia and local people to come visit Rajasthan. In today's market, almost all the products we buy come from reality. Using to protect, control and identify the product. Therefore, if it is implemented in a skillful way users often choose products based on packaging. Besides that, information of history get from batik research is Cultural History of Oslo, it is known for certain that the Javanese influenced Malay batik make technical and design development. In early stages Malaysia use wooden blocks to produce 'Love Batik' (Anakmudaterengganu, 2012) .In the 1920s Javanese batik makers introduced the use of Wax and Copper Block on Malaysia's east coast. Commercial production began in the 1960s (Anakmudaterengganu, 2012). 
Moreover, for history of food packaging, the packaging has to be defined in various ways, namely the one the art, science and technology, delivering products to the market and it can also be defines as a product made from materials such as paper, glass, plastic, aluminum and wood used for the containment, protection, handling, delivery and presentation of good from raw to process foods and packaging to ensure safe delivery of these products to consumers most in good condition overall cost to a minimum. It is a system capable of containing good that it remains safe and effective in their lifetime (VA, JSS, UL, 2013). 

In conclusion, this project is about combination of food packaging for new design and batik.

Research Question:
How are packages used to communicate marketing information to the buyer?

Problem statement:
The problem is that government will never help a small business or just going up like this and complicated to finding an appropriate place.

Proposed Solution:
This project to promote Malaysia specifically the state of Terengganu through food packaging design with batik theme is to intended to promote the food available in Terengganu state to foreign tourists as well to local people like drinking water, food and etc.  How to promote food packaging design with batik theme is to provide media, poster, pamphlet and etc.  Therefore, to introduce Malaysia specifically the State of Terengganu through food packaging design with batik theme. This project to introduce food and craft available in Terengganu State. The combination food packaging and Terengganu element batik to create a new design that can be souvenirs to tourists or local people to come visit Terengganu.

Aim:
To promoted Terengganu State in term of food and craft to tourist and local people. 

Objective :
    To promoted Terengganu State product to International.
   To create a new design for food packaging. 

   Design Approach :
   Reason why choose element batik to combine with food packaging because where make a batik design to my food packaging. Design batik is intended to symbolize the Terengganu State and to popularize Terengganu State that has natural beauty and delicious food to tourists coming visit Malaysia, as well to local people residents to feel it. This topic Food packaging design with batik themebecause want to renew an attractive design in term of color, texture, diversity of design food packaging that may interest those who come on vacation in this Terengganu state. Food packaging design with batik theme and provide to make a shopping bag, box or other to easy to bring anywhere.

   Conclusion :
    According to the respondents and theory, packaging is a major component in brand strategy and marketing to convey messages and brand values. Marketing and information can be designed into the visual elements used in the package to communicate the message to the emotions of consumers. In addition, the shows 'color' texture 'is a visual element used to capture users' attention and most important, to influence their emotions. Designers and marketers can achieve success as a designer packaging that incorporates design elements that tell the story of the brand and place.
